February Meeting - February  8, 2010 - 7:00p.m.

In keeping with Valentine's Day and February being the month of amore, this month's meeting will be about the different languages, or touchpoints, of love.  We will learn about the two sides of love and how you communicate it may be very different from how your spouse or children communicate it.  This informative session is based on Gary Chapman's "The 5 Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate."  Learn how to express your love to your spouse or children in a way that they will "hear" it and how your spouse may already be "saying" he loves you many times a day but you aren't understanding it.  Understanding the dynamics of communicating love can greatly benefit all the relationships in your life and is critical in the developmental process of your children.

Join us at North Metro Church in our normal meeting place on Monday, February 8 at 7:00pm.  Previous CPOMC president, Jennifer Howe, will be on hand to explain the 5 different love languages and give you a test you can use to determine your own language as well as the other members in your family.

Members with last names beginning with A-L, please bring your favorite "romantic" snack (or any snack will do!).

Please remember that there is also a new seller meeting at 6:30.  If you plan on selling at the spring sale for the first time and were unable to attend January's new seller meeting, you MUST attend this new seller meeting.

February Play Date - February 10, 2010 - 10:30 a.m..

September 2010 President's letter

Family
Well, September is here and I think the temperature has dropped at least a little...  I can't believe how hot this summer has been!  I know for us the pool is only now getting DOWN to a comfortable temperature, most of the summer the water has been too warm.  So now we are trying to get in as many pool days as we can before the pool is closed for the fall.

August was a big club month with the biggest thing being our fall/winter consignment sale.  The sale was a big success!  We already have the date set for the spring sale and there are going to be some changes that will be sure to make the sale (and selling in/working the sale) even better!  Keep an eye out for more information over the next few months.

September plans for the club include our monthly meeting where we will learn a little about decorating cakes and the monthly play date - this time it will be at Marietta Square for Brown Bag in the Park.  In October we will talk about how to get the most out of the pictures that we take of our kids and we will also have our wonderful Fall Festival.  And in November we will have our annual Thanksgiving Feast - don't forget to let us know ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) if you would like to donate something for the giveaway (you get 6 months of free advertising if you donate!).  Finally, in December we will not have a monthly meeting (we know that is such a busy time for everyone!); but we will have our Holiday Party at N. Metro Church.  It is sure to be fun with crafts, stories, food, play time and pictures with Santa!

One last thing... just a reminder about our name change and why we did it.  We are now NorthWest Atlanta Moms of Multiples (NOWAMOM).  We still serve Cobb County; but the fact was that the club has been here to support way more than just Cobb County. We, the board, felt it was time that our name did a better job of telling the REAL area that we are here for.  Our members live in Cobb, Polk, Paulding, Douglas, Cherokee and other areas of northwest Atlanta; now our name makes that obvious.  I don't know about you; but personally I think that the new name is great, especially when paired with our great new logo!

I hope that all of you get to enjoy the end of summer and hopefully I'll see you soon at one of our upcoming events!
